A video diary showcasing the raw moments on the Arthurs Range Traverse in South West Tasmania.

The idea of completing the entire Arthurs Range Traverse from West to East was always something that allured me, the challenge, the terrain and the beauty of it.

In April of 2025, a couple days before my 21st, i decided to set myself the challenge of completing this traverse. The plan was to start at Scotts Peak Dam on the Western Range of the Arthurs, and finish at Farmhouse Creek on the Eastern Side, although the goal was not reached.

The first day of the traverse was smooth sailing as i hiked up onto the range, day 2 is where things drastically changed. I had underestimated the conditions and was caught walking in 60KMPH winds and heavy rain for 13 hours.

Day 3 was a vicious slog of exhaustion from the previous days conditions, knowing more bad weather was ahead i decided not to continue with the entire traverse.

This adventure taught me that although you can have everything planned to the tee, its up to nature.

The Traverse was cut short by 3 days, opting to cut out at Moraine K.
